The Radiology department is dedicated to improve the medical standards in Ethiopia by utilizing the latest medical equipment and raising specialists through programs such as the residency program for Addis Ababa medical School.
The Radiology Department with its state of the art technology provides major imaging facilities in our hospital like: that of the CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammogram, Conventional Radiography and Fluoroscopy. Our Interventional Radiology, the CAT Lab system, supports clinicians not only with increased diagnostic decisions but also with therapeutic procedures like TACE.
During the year 2018, radiological exams had been reduced much in CT exams due to the long maintenance schedule and spare parts unavailability in the country. However, other modalities are functioning well with an increased number of exams more than the targeted strategic plan, with our new DR image scanning techniques, in all our x-ray systems.
